A tour day dedicated to the integration of Jewish heritage with nature and the sea. We will begin our day by driving south to the city of Tortosa, which is located 12 kilometers from the Ebro River, the largest river in Spain, which also gives its name to the entire Iberian Peninsula. In the Middle-Ages, the three religions lived in the city and it was considered a symbol of coexistence, in which a Jewish headstone from the 6th century was discovered as evidence of the existence of a Jewish community at the time. Between 1412 and 1414 the Tortoza debate took place here. This was the most important debate between the “debates” of the religions in the Middle-Ages, its results led to an increase in the number of converts and “Anousim” and eventually to the expulsion of the Jews from Spain. We will walk along the Ebro River in the old quarter, in the gardens and in the castle. From there we will continue to the shore, to the resort town of Cambrils, board a boat in the port of the city and take an hour cruise along the coast to the bustling town of Slow.
